Types of TikTok Posts That Get Views, Saves, and Follows
I’ve been posting on TikTok since 2019, but this past year, I really focused on my growth. From these techniques, I’ve grown over 3,000 followers in the past year and made so many new friends. After plenty of trial and error, I’ve narrowed down some types of TikToks that work best with the algorithm. I understand it will be different for everyone depending on your niche, but maybe try these out and see if they work for you! Follow me on TikTok @nicolenorthh. You can click each image I’ll provide as examples to watch the TikTok.
1. "My Favorite X Product"
This type of post has worked really well for my bag videos and makeup products. People are more likely to save and share these for later so they can buy the products. Highlight what makes the product great, how you use it, or why it’s worth purchasing. Simple, authentic reviews can drive tons of engagement.
2. Quick Day-in-the-Life Vlogs
These are so fun to make and watch. It’s great because people have short attention spans and want to get right to the point. These vlogs are also super easy to make – usually, I find a CapCut template that edits the footage for me! Just highlight small, relatable moments from your day to connect with viewers.
3. Posting About Creating a Community or Teamwork Trend
You can simply post something saying you’d love to support smaller creators like yourself, and you’d be shocked by how many people will follow! I’ve created a great community by doing this, and these creators often comment and want to support you on your journey. This trend is a powerful way to build meaningful connections.
4. Carousel Posts
These are simple images you post from your camera roll, formatted into a slideshow. It helps even more if you add text or captions over the images to tell a story or share tips. These posts often perform well when they’re visually appealing and provide value or humor.
5. Relatable Posts
Sometimes, I’ll just post my face and say something, and it’ll get a lot of views and shares. People are more likely to repost these, too. I don’t know why, but they just work! Whether it’s a funny thought, a relatable struggle, or a trending audio, these posts tend to hit home for many.
6. Content That Helps Your Followers
Content that’s centered on your followers is key. Posts like how-to videos, advice, or quick tips perform well because they’re about your audience, not just you. Helping your followers solve a problem or learn something new encourages engagement and builds trust.
7. Showing Your Personality
People love individuality and a creator they can relate to. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and share more talking videos. Whether it’s sharing your thoughts, funny stories, or unfiltered opinions, showing your personality makes you more relatable and memorable to your audience.
These TikTok post types have been game-changers for my growth. Experiment with them and find what works best for you and your niche. Remember, authenticity is always key! What type of TikTok post has worked best for you? Let me know in the comments!
